ReViEw.......

'Caught Up' is a young love documentary focusing on the ins and outs of a relationship, covering romance, sex, and risk of teenage prregnancy. Whilst firstly appearing a completly innocent documentary, when featuring a young couple playfuly flirting.. 'Caught Up' infact progresses throughout. Representing throughout a chronological time scale of events, focusing on age and how our feelings develope. 'Caught Up' firstly presents nostalgic primary scenes, whereby we are forced to remember what we thought primarly of the oppossite sex; however 'Caught Up'steadily progresses throughout, reflecting both the thoughts, views, and opinions of an alternating young and older couple. Furthermore, within this love/sex documentary we are graced with the knowledge of both a Sex Clinic Doctor, opinionated passerbys, and genuine words of wisdom from a teenage mother whos experienced it all, and whos voice lingers within the viewers mind. 'Caught Up' features raw, emotional, genuine facts, an insiders view on relationships. Real people. Real views. Real love.

Interesting FActs....
Unbelivably... the boys we actualy interviewed for our doc, and spoke to held a more emotional take on teenage love! The majority of boys were more emotionally affected by a breakup etc, whereas girls held the more stronger view. As well as this boys were also willing to speak more about a past relationship/girlfiend, whereas the girls appeared secretive and reserved...?

Documentary 5m

Review

Relationships play a major part in everyones life, influencing them in many different ways. This advanced and skilfully edited documentary captures the ups and downs of love and lust showing genuine personal experiences of several people, mainly focusing on teenage relationships. With our effort to confine this complex issue to express various sides of relationships, featuring couples views. We decided to extract the key issues raised in this topic, therefore focused on the fundamental concerns, including sexual issues leading to effects such as pregnancy.

With this in mind the audience is carefully guided through the concise but carefully edited documentary along with a carefully thought out voice over too accompany it. The issues raised are made to get the audience thinking about how relationships can go to the next level. It also gets the audience aware of the growing problem of young mothers in society.

Are people becoming too open with their relationships in society? Are teenagers willing to go futher in a relationships faster? Is there such a thing as love at such an age? Is this love or lust?

interesting facts:

Alliaya was trying to film couples in London and caputed to men holding hands, once they saw she was recording they let go. This clip is featured in the begining of the documentary and no one as noticed. lol

Today me and alliaya are going down to interview one of her friends, who is in a relationship. We will be asking them questions about, what they think of teenage love and if its real at this age etc. We have now got the interview with the young mother and have started to edit that, also as our voxpops have messed up (thats in nice words) therefore we went out to ealing the other day an interviewed some more people, although it was not enough, sooooo we need to get some more. Apart from that everything is going fine!!!YEYYYY Its all working out now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Today me Alliaya and Rama went up to some next place to locate a counsellor, unfortunately this was not possible as they were to ‘busy, so I am going to have to find another counsellor. But we did go to the ravenor park clinic and asked if we could get an interview with one of the women there, and, unfortunately they were also unavailable, but did say we could come back on Monday! Although Alliaya has asked a friend in a collage about a psychologist who works there, and we may be able to talk to him.

I have also confirmed an interview with a 17 year old girl, who has just had a baby, which is really good. On Saturday we will be asking her a few questions, sadly she does not want her face to be shown, which is understandable, therefore as she is talking we will be filming her hands. We feel this technique will look professional and we are glad to have the opportunity to get her point of view.

Puppy love's dark side!!!

First study of love-sick teens reveals higher risk of depression and alcohol use, rather than teenagers who are not involved in romantic relationships, its also shown that young love-sick girls are at a higher risk than boyz!!

xxkellyxx

Teenage love, is it for real, is it for fun or can we really love at such a young age? At this age, teenagers are getting involved with the opposite sex, but unfortunately this means putting your feelings on the line. Making you wonder, is it true love? or, will you get hurt?. This is just added on top of all the other things you have to worry about, just to keep you stressed out!! And it seems to be working, but it seems that its not always love, people just go out with some one because their bored or they just want sex, showing that its not Tru love!

No SeX pLeAsE, wE'rE tEeNaGeRs

This is a documentary which is basically explained in the title. 12 teenagers from the ages 15 to 17, from harrow were selected to take part, and attend a ''Romance Academy'' session every week. The purpose of this documentary was to show that Sex.... isn't what you should base your relationship around, it was also said that 'young people would be happier if they were in long-term, serious relationships'

''TEENAGERS are having more sex than ever before. Underage pregnancies are on the increase and sexually-transmitted diseases have hit an all-time high. But in a society increasingly preoccupied with sex, many are taking a stand and hanging on to their virginity or turning their backs on promiscuity. A new TV series, No Sex Please We're Teenagers, set 12 London youngsters an "abstinence" challenge. For five months, they pledged to avoid all sexual activity and met up once a week to discuss their experiences with youth workers.
Report By Antonia Hoyle''

WhY tHiS iS rElEvAnT tO oUr DoC!

The reason this is relevant to our documentary is because we are using the same target audience, being teenagers. Also its about teenagers and relationships, in our documentary we will be mentioning sex, and the outcomes, such as pregnency. Therefore looking at this documentary will help me and alliaya to improve
on ours.
